I would not recommend a screw conveyor to convey fly ash at an inclination above around 10 degrees, due to the propensity of the material to fluidise when agitated. 250 Te/ hour is also a high capacity and I would suspect that the application also is calling for a relatively long span, so the duty is a 'hot potato'. I would consider that probably the best way to tackle this problem is to convey horizontally to a bucket elevator for the lift. ■

I fully agree that a screw conveyor might not be the optimal solution. Everything depends on length and inclination. PLease give us all detials about the dimensions and we will first make a technical calculation for the design of the srew conveyor.

the length needed and explanation of the application such as a conveyor or extractor from a silo ?
