NEW TILT TESTER PROVIDES ACCURATE DATA FOR BIOMASS MATERIALS

Diamondback Technology now offers an inexpensive way to characterize the yield locus of high aspect ratio biomass materials. Designed specifically for waste-to-fuel materials such as wood shavings, various grains and grasses, corn stover, hemp and similar materials, the patent-pending Diamondback Tilt Tester measures the unconfined yield stress, effective yield locus, wall yield locus and the internal rate-dependent friction angle and is able to measure the dominance of Coulomb frictional properties. The Tilt Tester also measures the cohesive and adhesive properties of other granular materials.

“This inexpensive test is useful for correlating with other test methods and also provides an independent quality control benchmark for ensuring biofuel materials used in industry maintain consistency from batch to batch,” said Lee Dudley, president and principal engineer for Diamondback Technology, Inc.

Diamondback Technology interprets the test results in a written report complete with all charted data. Test results are completely confidential.
