Fragmentation Analysis Course

WipWare's Fragmentation Analysis Course a Huge Success

WipWare Inc. recently hosted a very successful three day training course covering all aspects of photo-analysis techniques used in the mining industry. Blast and mine engineers from around the globe attended this event and learned the theories supporting the use of fragmentation analysis on-site, and were given hands-on experience with WipFrag 2010, the leading fragmentation analysis software in the world.

One of the world's renowned blast engineers Takis Katsabanis - Professor and Head of the Mining Engineering Department at Queen's University, was in attendance to lecture on the advances of blasting procedures, and suggested new ways mine operations should be interpreting their sieve results.

"It was exciting to see such an interest in photo-analysis technologies from participants around the globe" says Mark Wagner, the host of the training seminar - the first of its kind for WipWare. "All of the participants had fun, and they benefited from the one-on-one interaction from WipWare staff throughout the extent of the course."

Aside from the course itself, participants had the chance to take part in nature-oriented events including canoe paddle-making, a scenic boat cruise of historic mining sites around the North Bay, ON area, and trail walking amidst the beautiful fall colours that the Canadian wilderness offers.

This sold-out 3-day course was such a success that WipWare has planned to host another course in the Spring of 2011. Please contact Mr. Mark Wagner
