STEINERT Management Changes

Challenges and transformations complement one another

Challenges are the prerequisite for development. The difference between successful and unsuccessful companies and entrepreneurs is to embrace these challenges, as well as a strong will to succeed.

On April 1, 1998, Mr. Franz Heiringhoff the current CEO of the STEINERT Group took over his position in the holding company of “STEINERT Elektromagnetbau GmbH” to start and implement necessary changes. After a short time, it was clear to see that only painful intervention in details would save the continuity and would assure the survival of all. Courageous decisions, including the shutdown of business units, were the foundation for the following success.

STEINERT, with its many years of regional and technological expertise and a well known reputation, was now in the centre of attention and developed under his leadership to an international “full range” supplier. The willingness to make important changes and the will to make successful transformations were the leading and decisive factor in the development of a powerful organisation, people following the same spirit in mind, were the multiplier.

The result is an international company, unique in separation technology all around the world. From the simplest separation and lifting technology up to the sensor sorting technology based on variable kinds of identification methods – serving the markets in the areas of recycling, recovery and refining of resources and raw materials. Customer satisfaction is the main focus.

This development was only possible with the support, care, and strong faith of the employees and staff members, the supporting organisation and cooperated firms, as well as the shareholder family Buchholz.

In future Mr. Franz Heiringhoff will have a supervising position to guide the further development of the STEINERT Group, including the newly established business units.

Together with the shareholder family Buchholz, Mr. Heiringhoff has decided to take on a consulting and supervising role for the group and the proprietor, beginning January 2011. He places great emphasis on being a part of future challenges for the STEINERT Group, on the grounds of strategic important decisions, to assist the management with experience and deftness, and finally to carry some of the responsibility for the employees of the STEINERT Group.

His successor, Mr. Marcus Heinrich, will take over the management of the group – a personality with similar leading principles and the drive to establish further changes. Marcus Heinrich has proven his competence as a “pioneer” during changes in the last few years and as “Managing Director” of the subsidiary in Australia and therefore the shareholders and employees are convinced of the continuing positive development of the company.

Six years ago, Heinrich took over as Managing Director of the newly founded STEINERT Australia. Previously he had been responsible for cross-sector activities at a business-consulting firm before joining STEINERT in a management position as Commercial Director. Following the successful development of the Asia/Pacific business, Heinrich is now returning to his roots in the company. The father of three children will be moving to the Rhineland in the coming weeks.

To coincide with Heinrich’s transfer to Germany, the vacant position at STEINERT Australia has also been filled: Ezio Viti is the new Managing Director in Melbourne. As Head of Business Development and Sales, Ezio has been making a key contribution to growth in Australia for the past three years and has extensive experience in processing technology.
