KUBOTA – New Digital Load Cell Feeder

KYUHOJI, OSAKA, JAPAN (April 14, 2010)Kubota Corporation has developed a new line of Digital Load Cell Feeders. These D-LC Feeders provide a high feeding accuracy by incorporating digital technology for the weight and temperature inputs from the feeders. These two variables are transmitted from the feeder to the controller in digital format and therefore, provide for protection against the influence of noise on these two signals.

The weighing accuracy has improved significantly due to an internal resolution of 4,190,000 counts for the D-LC Feeder. The effects of temperature change have also been minimized as an internal sensor adjusts for any output error caused by temperature variations.

Along with the D-LC Feeder comes the SK-IT System which is the feeder mounted control panel. With the controller mounted on the feeder, the installation becomes very simple and compact. External, separate control panels are no longer required for the feeder’s operation, thus saving on installation space and costs. The SK-IT System makes it easy to add additional feeders to an existing line or to relocate feeders between lines.

The D-LC Feeders can be supplied with control interfaces that range from a single unit operation terminal up to a touch panel for controlling ten feeders on one line. Digital and Analog I/O modules along with serial communication interfaces are available depending on the project requirement.

Kubota will be introducing the D-LC Feeders for the first time at the Chinaplas 2010 held from 19 to 22 April, 2010 in Shanghai, China. The Kubota booth is located in Hall E4, Booth M06.
