New Dryer Arrives

Colortronic (UK) Limited has recently invested in the latest central drying technology for its Chesterfield based Tech Centre.

The new DryFlex dryer uses the latest technology and expertise, enabling up to 50% in energy saving.

The control is via a colour touch screen, giving full overview of the system, such as temperature, dew point and dwell time.

The system has additional control and energy saving devices such as a frequency controlled blower, temperature dependent regeneration, I-Tronic and X-Tronic systems.

The I-Tronic is a unique automatically controlled air flow for each hopper. Without any input from the operator the valve optimises the airflow saving vast amounts of energy whilst maintaining the required drying quality.

The X-Tronic is a heat recovery system where any heat carried away after the drying process is reused to heat the incoming air.

“Given the current level of discussion regarding dryers and energy saving, we considered the best way to demonstrate the advantages and efficiency of the system was to install a trial and testing unit at our Tech Centre facility” stated Karl Miller, Managing Director of Colortronic (UK) Limited.
