HIGH TOXIC INGREDIENT CONTAMINATION, MATERIAL HANDLING AND CLEAN-UP OPERATIONS ARE MINIMIZED WITH SINGLE-VESSEL MIXING, BLENDING AND STORAGE

All-in-one container offers material handling convenience and greater accuracy—with substantial safety and cost-saving efficiencies

Ft. Worth, TX: Closed vessel, double-duty rigid intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) from Tote Systems™ ensure the integrity and safety of high toxic liquid and powder products by managing the blending, discharging, shipping and storage operations within a single vessel to minimize material contamination, product handling, environmental contamination and cost.

A wide range of container sizes, shapes and designs is available to meet diverse material handling requirements and mixing/blending applications. Containers may be typical side-door units with straight walls or hopper containers with angled walls below a straight-walled upper section, or custom-engineered variations. Single vessel mixing, blending and storage ensures containment and integrity of high toxic ingredients to minimize contamination, material handling and clean-up.

The specially designed Tote Systems IBC is placed onto a fill station to receive the correct proportion of dry ingredients. The container can then be shipped or stored for later use. When ready for use, the container is moved into a Tote System blender cradle that clamps and rotates the closed container to mix the ingredients in a process known as In-Bin blending. Special wall-mounted or lid-mounted intensifying mechanisms are available for containers storing heavier or moist products that tend to agglomerate.

Tote Systems single vessel mixing and blending IBC containers protect against airborne dust and waste spillage, machine product cross-contamination, and human error. Additional benefits include easy vessel cleanup, sanitation and validation operations. Simplification of product dispensing, mixing and changeover operations offered by the single-vessel design reduces downtime, worker exposure and high maintenance costs typically incurred during multi-step manual batch filling and transfer operations.

When the high toxic content ingredients are required for production, the ready-to-use Tote Systems container is placed into a premier discharger or tilt discharger that is located within the processing line to feed tablet presses, encapsulators, process vessels, granulators and mills. Custom options are available for automation, specialty dispensing and metered output.
