Grasim Birla White focuses on cleanliness, reliability and environmental protection
The newest generation of packers from Haver & Boecker is now moving into markets worldwide. It’s the most up-to-date HAVER cement packing machine and the first of its kind on the market. Since the first 12-spout HAVER ROTO CLASSIC® has been put into operation at the Phoenix Zementwerke in Germany early this spring, the first Seal-version of this newly developed packer with 16 spouts is now being installed in India.
Because Grasim Birla White has had nothing but complete satisfaction over the last two years in using its 8-spout ROTOSEAL® equipped with a sealing system, the company was not about to go without the sealing technology when it ordered the newest generation machine of the high-speed line of packers for its plant in Kharia Khangar. The machine makes Grasim Birla White the first Indian company to reap the benefits provided by a ROTO-PACKER that’s equipped with an ultrasound sealing system for producing tightly closed bags for sales to customers. At the same time it’s taking advantage of the system’s flexibility, compact size, ease of maintenance, operator friendliness and low energy consumption. And because of the packing machine’s modular design, stoppage times can be reduced to a minimum. Grasim has opted for operational reliability, cleanliness and environmental protection.
The 16-spout HAVER ROTOSEAL CLASSIC® (16 RCC-U) is designed to fill white cement and white cement products into paper and polypropylene bags. In addition to its high-speed packing capability – 4000 bags/hr with 25-kg-bags and 3200 bags/hr with 50-kg bags using manual bag application – this packer needs about one third less space when compared to a conventional 16-spout packer, all thanks to its modular design.
The valve sealing system assures bags do not get soiled and the product remains protected. This eliminates contamination and dust in the surrounding environment. Meanwhile, costs arising from cleaning, maintenance and wear are significantly reduced, all the while greater filling weight accuracy is achieved. These advantages provide Grasim Birla White with additional sales and marketing arguments.
