New Faces at STEINERT

Strengthened in the rough sea



In order to continue to face up to the challenges of the present market conditions the Steinert GmbH in Germany, the expert in sorting equipment, is heading into a different direction than its competitors: Strengthening the organization and increasing the know-how by expanding our workforce.

Beginning of May 2009 the new CEO in the American daughter company STEINERT US LLC. joined the group as well as two highly regarded individuals in Germany.

"My aim is to tackle the challenge Steinert has to gain in acceptance in the US American market and to build upon the development Steinert has reached in the last ten years in the US" says Jason Looman, the new President of Steinert US LLC. in Florida (see Fig. 1). After receiving an MBA in international management, Mr. Looman successfully grew another German firm in the US as their CEO. Having studied in Germany he understands the German way, allowing him to maintain and strengthen the communication flow between Germany and America.

Joerg Mueller (Fig. 2) is the new Sales Manager for the German market. A family man from from Goettingen, who knows the market very well due to his experience in former management positions. As an electrical engineer he brings in long term experience on the world wide markets. "I am happy to implement my skills from engineering, recycling and sales. From my experiences with sensor sorting systems I know that Steinert is very well respected in the raw material market. Together with its wide spectrum of magnetic equipment STEINERT is number 1 in market. That means for me, my first duties is to strengthen the relationship with our customers."

With experience working with very well-known European and International firms, Tobias Hessel (Fig. 3) comes to Steinert increasing our international focus; having received his MBA in 2008. At STEINERT, he will support management in strategic projects. "The chance STEINERT has given to me is hard to find nowadays especially with-in middle sized companies specifically. To me it underlines the existence of a long term strategy in this company to grow, not only based on growing markets but based on internal strength and innovative habits."
