does anyone know of a conveyance method for loading bulk aggregate or breakbulk, ?

I know there are ships that have long arms that can reach over a dock.

But, I need a syestem that can load or discharge from a distance of 30' away from vessel my dock is shot and if I could devise a way to utilize the berth for income , and than rebuild with pilings that would be the way to go.

I have a bridge that goes to the berth so i could use that as a platform but it is only 10' wide!

So I am limited on the crane, type probable to confusing for most but I thought I would give it a try.oh that is not to say that you all are confused easily it is my

explanation I am sure.

Thanks

A drawing would be helpful, better than 1000 words!

First question-will the United States Coast Guard allow you to operate a loading and unloading berth without a dock-floating or otherwise? I think they will frown on this unless there is a method of egress for the ships crew and adequate access from the land side.

Will you rebuild after you have substantial capital to do so?

Second question is the bridge structurally sound? that is a big if..................

Possibly a mobile conveyor from Conveyor Dynamics Int. or Dos Santos Int. could work with the drive at midpoint to allow for loading or unloading- it will require some design work for the drive unit, receiving hoppers at both ends and a delivery head pulley (which would be required to act as tail pulley also) beyond the dock side hopper and a take up unit for belt tension.

==========================================================

Stating the above with little information from your end begs the question;

Are you a going concern?, What is your budget? Have you inquired about potential state and federal grant moneys to improve your shipping business?

What size conveyor?, who is your competition if any?, what nearby markets can you potentially serve or deliver to? what available labor do you have?

==========================================================

Is this related at all to the petroleum coke thread you posted a few days ago?

==========================================================

Mr. Joseph Dos Santos and Mr. Lawrence Nordell are the two gentleman you should contact about this telling them absolutely every detail.

The other option is simply creating pressure gradients for suction from, and pressure discharge to the vessel in question using a high capacity vacuum cleaning truck such as those offered by Super products company AKA the SUPERSUCKER- they have a world wide reputation for an excellent product.

Thanks for reply, no this not for pet coke? Although you could discharge that at dock.

The pier is sound for foot traffic but questionable for heavy machinery or trucks.

we are a vaiable bulk handler yes if we get revenue we will improve .

Thanks again appreciate all the help/

Greetings

We noted your unusual aggregate loading application. Perhaps our Pontoon Mounted Conveyor would work. Rated 6000tph.

Please feel free to contact us for additional information.

The post title sounded like the jetty had been smacked by a bucket or something.

Now we have read a bit more about your situation it looks as though Al Goodmundson is your Fairy Godfather (old fashioned interpretation).

If your pier won't take trucks...does the foot traffic involve carrying the stuff manually? Forget the pier, otherwise your operation will lack Credence and the Water won't stay Clear

Yes; I remember the photo from a previous post. It is beginning to look like such a situation will return to Britain in the future.
