Discharging Cement to Concrete Mixer

Posted in: , on 14. Apr. 2009 - 19:15

well, I am using a concrete twin shaft mixer with a cement weigh hopper above to discharge, I got a problem because the cement weigh hopper inlet is far away from the centre of the shaft, the mixer manufacturer asked to change the inlet towards the shaft of the mixer, so, I am thinking to use a flexible hose from the cement weigh hopper outlet to shift the inlet hole, the angle results will reach 55 deg. from ground.

can I do this, shall the cement stuck in the flexible hose??

your reply and help shall be highly appreciated.

thanks and regards

Dear Mr. Basha,

The problem will not get solved.

Suggest you retain the weigh-hopper position and connect the weigh-hopper to the mixer by an AIR-SLIDE to convey the cement from weigh-hopper to the mixer.
