Taurus TS30 Primary Scraper

There are many conveyor belt cleaners in the market place and they vary from a piece of rubber being applied to the belt to the more sophisticated tungsten carbide type. Taurus’ new primary scraper has a number of refinements to create a truly unique and robust scraper.

Each blade is independently loaded, so the primary scraper can accommodate full differential wear across the belt face. This increases the efficiency of the scraper for a longer period of time compared to multi-bladed scrapers where the blades are not independently loaded.

Each blade/buffer unit is 150mm wide and fully enclosed, which ensures that material cannot pass over the blade and build up between the belt and the buffer. In other scrapers, material becomes lodged between the blade and belt, making the scraper ineffective.

In many applications, blades are subjected to fine materials being lodged in the devices that hold them in location, making them difficult to remove at the time of servicing. Taurus’ unique blade doesn’t require tools to remove it from the blade carrier as they are easily removed by hand. The benefit is down time is kept to a minimum and housekeeping can be done in a fraction of the time it takes to service similar units.

Taurus can supply its patented slip-on blades in a variety of materials from polyurethane to FRAS rubber and combinations of both with tungsten carbide inserts. By combining various blades on a single scraper, Taurus can tailor each scraper to suit the application.

Taurus’ scraper is designed to give a higher degree of efficiency and to reduce the time and difficulty of servicing. Cleaner components: pipes, clamps and fasteners are also supplied in stainless steel to increase the longevity of the complete unit.

Ansquip Pty Ltd manufactures Taurus Belt Scrapers, a privately owned Australian company operating out of Victoria.
