Denroy Saves Energy

Denroy Plastics Limited, a company specialising in the design and manufacture of custom moulded products and part of the Denroy Group of Companies with over 60 moulding machines ranging from 5-720 tonnes capacity, has recently installed an energy saving central drying system from Colortronic.

The central dryer supplies 9 drying hoppers, allowing Denroy a flexible solution to its changing demands of dried material in the mouldshop.

The drying cabinet supplies the varied drying hoppers mounted on a space saving platform. A vast amount of energy is saved due to the use of the I-Tronic automatic air flow control valves which compensate for the varied requirements of material, throughput, moisture content of material and ambient humidity conditions.

“As only the actual required heat is needed for each material, savings of over £33,000 are achieved in comparison to traditional methods of drying” states John Rainey, Managing Director of The Denroy Group.

“This technology has also resulted in full control and consistency of the dried material, subsequently improving our end product, therefore continuing the ongoing world class improvement process within the whole Denroy Group.”
