You maybe unlucky with your request as these forums are generally for bulk solids handling.

Bottles exit tangentially at the periphery. So the rim speed ought to be just a bit faster than the gripper belt speed.

Torque requirement is for a full bed of empties sitting on the low friction tablecloth & going nowhere i.e. the weight of all the bottles times the coefficient of friction (glass on nylon??) times the disc polar centroid radius. Gearmotor selection is then made from the SEW online catalogue so that the table still just turns even when full.

Gripper belts idle. The bottom belt does the driving & is only influenced by the bottle weight/metre & the number of metres.

I must be losing my bottle.....Slante.

I doubt he's waited 360 days for that pearl of wisdom.

For what its worth there is an excellent model of a feedscrew on 3dContentCentral.
