For many years people in the mining industry have accepted that monitoring the condition of their conveyor belts was a process that could only be done during scheduled downtime, so belt failures that occurred during the gaps between these downtimes became part of the operational cost of materials handling.

Not any more.

CBM International is pleased to announce the world-wide release of 3rd generation conveyor belt monitoring systems.

As the major supplier of conveyor belt monitoring globally, CBM International has been at the forefront of research and development into remote on-line conveyor belt monitoring. From the release of the 1st generation cbmRemoteTM Series S units in 1999 that allowed remote steel cord conveyor belt condition monitoring WITHOUT stopping production, CBM International has continually developed innovative technologies to enhance this process.

Now, at AIMEX, CBM international is introducing the world’s first on-line non-contact wear profile analysis system AND the world’s first real-time non-contact rip detection system that DOES NOT use induction loops. Coupled with current cbmRemoteTM technology and next generation FireSyncTM communications, it is the first time ever that any type of conveyor belt can be analysed for total performance without impacting production in any way.

Products to be released include:

•cbmProfileTM for remote on-line conveyor belt cover wear profiling

•cbmVisionRDTM for real-time non-contact rip detection WITHOUT loops

•cbmVisionVITM for remote on-line visual inspection of conveyor belt surface damage

•cbmVisionTM for on-line visual inspection and rip detection

•cbmVisionProTM for remote on-line coplanar visual inspection and wear profiling – 3D imaging
