RV can be used under bin activator with no problem. Bin activator is a flow aid not a flow control device, so the flow rate will be controlled by RV. Running the bin activator will greatly depend on the material but simple matching can be done by putting a level probe in the chute on top of the RV and when probe is uncovered bin activator is switched on either on timer or until the probe is covered. ■
Bin Activator With Rotary Airlock
Will work well if you are discharging to atmosphere and not pressure pneumatic convey system.
Be carefull to to over vibrate bin activator. If you over run the airlock by vibrating to much, you could lock the bin.
To ensure you do not over vibrate do the following
Start airlock with bin activator off. Start vibrator and run for 5 seconds then turn off. Time how long materail continuous to flow until stop.
Do this over and over several times until you find a consistant value. No time the vibrator to just keep the powder flowing.
You will keep things flowing well and you will be a hero (for a day)!

Bin Act. and RV
Dear Sirs,
Please let me know if it is possible to use a rotary valve under a bin avtivator or not. If so how they should be matched together.
