I can almost guarantee that you won't find one --no matter where you look.

The procedure will be highly dependent on the equipment installed and configuration.

Do you have a drawing of the installation you wish to operate?

Jack,

I have dozens of different customers for my shipper. Not one of my consignees will give out that kind of information. My guys are unloading bulk plastics (pneumatic tanks) into the receivers silos. I know the basic premise but I was looking for a standard in the industry. Thanks for the response

okay -- I'm getting a clearer picture of what you're doing

you want to unload the tankers in dense phase because presumably your clients are complaining about the formation of streamers in their silo from the dilute phase unloading operation??

They want to limit the possibility.... They purchased another company who had dense phase unloading as a standard & they are adopting the same standard.

Gotch Ya

We worked with a transport company some time ago and helped them understand the difference between dilute and dense phase conveying and then a unloading procedure was agreed.

I'd be willing to work with you in the same regard if you're interested.

If you send me an e-mail to my address below, I can give you more specifics.

Regards

Thanks for the info Jack... I guess I will have to write my own procedure & teach the class myself. I was looking for a standard that everyone uses instead of teaching it my way & the next guy his way & so on.
