ISO 5048 and DIN22101 as a start.

There are a number of other threads on this forum which would be of interest, including cited papers / links to other site.

There are courses offered by some institutions on belt conveying in general and this topic in passing.

9 million dollars in R&D. Since long overland conveyor have a subsytantial price for the Capex and Opex, we can make a living at refining the selection of components. We do publish some of these techniques, but not all.

It has been said many times you wish to obtain something for nothing. Just because a formula is published, is it the right formula?

Success is the answer. When you can observe the machine in service, this is the litmus tests.

You can read all the literature. It will not give you the design blue print. Hire the work to be done and learn.

The old addage: "if you don't know what you dont know", others should take stock that they would be fools to follow such advice.
