Customer Service Manager – Industrial Equipment – SW Chicago, Illinois
Our client is a leading manufacturer of material processing equipment sold to the powder and bulk processing industry. They are seeking a Customer Service Manager with 5 years experience and technical knowledge in engineered industrial equipment. The position is located in their Chicago suburb office. Compensation will be based on prior experience and is in the $50000-$70000 range. They prefer a B.S. degree in engineering but will consider candidates with experience in technical sales of industrial equipment, supervision of sales and engineering staff or knowledge of mechanical parts and basic assemblies.
Responsibilities of the position are as follows:
Supervise inside sales and customer service staff.
Supervise and schedule all field service work.
Coordinate issues between customer service, engineering and manufacturing via weekly production meetings.
Process all parts orders, parts returns and parts quotations.
Enter parts orders and routing documentation.
Develop and maintain parts margins and create and maintain spare parts lists, equipment manuals and buyout equipment.
Develop reports regarding parts activity, margins and forecasts.
Search database for parts history on parts in the field.
Track parts shipments and payments.
Maintain customer database.
