10th World Filtration Congress WFC to be staged in 2008 in Germany

Call for Papers until June 30, 2007

The 10th World Filtration Congress (WFC10) will be held from April 14th -18th, 2008 in Leipzig, Germany. The VDI-GVC German Society for Chemical & Process Engineering has been unanimously chosen to host the foremost event in the world of filtration by the members of the INDEFI Committee (International Delegates on Filtration). Past WFC Congresses have been held in the USA, Great Britain, France, Belgium, Japan and Hungary.

”We are proud that Germany has been selected to host the 10th Word Filtration Congress“, says Dr. Harald Anlauf, Congress Chairman of WFC 10. Leipzig has been selected as it meets the needs for a successful WFC in every way. The City of Leipzig is foremost in providing the most modern facilities and excellent possibilities for travel and accommodation.

At the same time the carefully restored historic City of Leipzig offers delegates and visitors alike a unique experience from cultural and historical aspects in a warm and convivial atmosphere. A vibrant and exciting destination in the Center of Europe.

The WFC10 will embrace five days from Monday to Friday. The first day is foreseen for technical short courses. The afternoon of the last day is reserved for post-congress plant tours. The remaining three and a half days are planned for the technical conference and parallel exhibition. In total 300 technical presentations with concurrent sessions are expected and a major international exhibition featuring all relevant aspects of filtration and separation.

More than 2,000 participants are expected. Adjacent to the Congress a major exhibition will he held where more than 100 global players are expected to display state-of-the-art F&S technology bringing together equipment suppliers, end users and researchers.

Delegates and trade visitors will get a unique survey of the latest developments and innovations and have the opportunity to discuss filtration matters with competent industry partners from around the world.

Prof. Schmidt, Scientific Committee Chairman, invites engineers, managers, researchers and scientists cordially to send papers about actual results of research projects and new technical developments but also papers, which give an overview and show development trends in particular areas of filtration & separation technology. Abstracts are to be sent until June 30, 2007 as e-mail attachment (Word-Format) to paper@wfc10.org. Detailed information is available at www.WFC10.org.
