First HAVER-ROTOSEAL sold in India

Grasim, Birla White/India opts for bag cleanliness and reducing product losses.

The company Grasim, Birla White in India has recently placed an order with Haver & Boecker for a ROTOSEAL 8 RSE-U packing machine for filling white cement and white cement products. This represents the first ever sale of a HAVER ROTOSEAL PACKER for tightly sealed valve-type bags to India. The 8-spout packer is to be installed in a plant located in Kharia Khangar.

”This order confirms the tendency that Asian customers are also increasingly putting more value on bag cleanliness and minimising product losses from bag leakage”, says Bernhard Pagenkemper, manager of the Cement Division of the Westphalian specialist for weighing, filling and material processing technology. These are exactly the advantages the ROTOSEAL rotating packing machine offers. This machine technology assures bags do not get dusty during the filling process and it virtually eliminates subsequent dustiness because the bags are tightly sealed. Therefore bag leakage and dust are avoided from the time the bag is filled and during transport, until it reaches the consumer. This is made possible by utilising ultrasonic technology for sealing the bag valve shut. Ultrasonic sealing also improves weight accuracy and suppresses manipulation by third parties.

The delivery of the packing machine, designed to handle both paper and polypropylene bags, is scheduled for early 2007.
