ROTARY TORQUE-SETTING NEW PRICE STANDARDS

The new range of rotary torque transducers from Applied Measurements, U.K. provide an economical solution to rotary torque measurement.

With prices starting from as low as GBP980.00, they are designed primarily for use on test stands, machines in industry, aerospace, marine and the laboratory.

Covering ranges from 0-0.2 Nm to 0-80 kNm these transducers use either conventional slip rings or for high speed applications, brushless transmission, enabling torque to be measured at up to 20,000 rpm.

Mechanical coupling options include keyed shafts, square drives, flanges and combined shaft and flange versions. Output signal options include standard bridge mV output or higher level amplified voltage (0-5Vdc, 0-10Vdc) or current (4-20mA).

In addition to their torque measuring capability, some models incorporate speed measuring devices to permit the direct calculation of power in addition to torque and rotational speed.

To facilitate a complete installation a comprehensive range of digital and analogue instrumentation is offered including system calibration and certification to UKAS standards.
