The ¡°Technology Proseminar on Concrete Durability¡± organized by Dujiangyan Lafarge Cement Co., Ltd was held in Chengdu on 8th December. It was said on the proseminar that the new cement national standard----¡°General Portland Cement¡± would be implemented in the country formally on 1st April of next year.
It was known that the ¡°General Portland Cement¡± revised the old standard which had been implemented nearly for 5 years, and dramatically adjusted the standards on the grades of cement type and strength and the types of mixed material etc.
On implementing the new standard, many small and medium cement manufacturers should switch to another line of products because of the higher production cost, while other large enterprises will resort to technical renovation.
