Just make sure the drive pulley diameter is OK for the thicker belt.

Dear Mr. Irfan,

You are opting for stronger / thicker cover (marginally). You are also increasing the belt cover thickness from total 6 mm to 9 mm. This will increase the belt weight.

This change will have following implications :

1) The increase in belt weight will tend to increase the power (marginally).

2) Thicker carcass may or may not demand bigger diameter of pulley.

As a guess work I can say that probably the change may not create problem. However, I will suggest you to inform your conveyor particulars to your belt supplier. The belt supplier will be familiar for design considerations / checks for such simple need and they will be able to give their consent / implication for such change.
