Dear yogendra singh,

Measurement of abrasivity (Yancey, Gear and Price method - YGP) is carried out on a limited number of cases

We used the HGI for a total amount of 35 mio tons of bituminous coal, handled for a coke oven battery with success.

Coal grind ability index HGI (YGP) indicates the ease for grinding coal.. The bigger of grind ability index, the easier to be grinded. Hardgrove Grindability Indices indicate that how hard the the coal is.

The variation of HGI of each zone of 40 -60 means that the grindability is poor.

Measurement of abrasivity (Yancey, Gear and Price method - YGP) is carried out on a limited number of samples in th literature. It couldn't be stated a reproducibility.
