i just want to know about screen overloading factor for linear screen? i have found a formula for screen overloading factor for circular motion screen as

= g factor*deck inclination/feed rate (tph/ft)

& if this factor comes down below 2.5 then screen becomes overloaded.

g factor= amplitude*rpm*rpm/700000.

plz tell me its validity?

The factor could be expressed by a single expression & might be valid for a screen inclination in degrees or radians(???). A little bit of homework & engineering knowledge could have told you that the absurd has no validity.

If you overload the screen you do not have a proper screening process - you get a feeder in the best case and the worst case you can have a structure failure of the screen - if the overload will shift the natural frequencies. Another option is the deck will fail.

ON a linear or flat screen box OR incline

the GEN RULE of thumb is:

You are allowed Max 3 times the opening size FOR a BED DEPTH calculation at the DISCHARGE end of the screen no matter how long.

Ie: if you had 1/2" clear opening in the wirecloth rubber or whatever.......then you could have 1 1/2" BED DEPTH measuring at the DISCHARGE end of the screen box length.

VSMA has the FORMULA for this calculation....

BASICALLY, if the mat or bed depth of the material is TOO DEEP...then you will have resultant INEFFICIENCY of screening.
