Caterpillar Truck

Hola Miguel Y beunos tardes, from my corner of the soon to be frozen "Eastern Wilderness" @1140 feet above mean sea level.

If you really want an education look at the mattracks.com web site and or the foremost.ca web site as well.

A set of mattracks for a pick up truck goes for

almost 30000 US dollars the last time I checked.

If no one has told you already narrow tracks are unuseable in snow or mud-in order to gain any amount of operation ability and stability the tracks have to be four or five feet wide or more to reduce ground pressure to below 1 PSI per square foot or so of track area.

Miguel, de nada, via con Dios my amigo. Write me via private message on the board if you need more help with tracked vehicles, just so you know many of the original farm tractors used for farm use were small track drive earth movers with out the dozer blade mounted up front and they had a three point hitch mounted on the rear. You can still buy them like that as far as I know.
