National Cement Company, Inc. has contracted with Loesche America, Inc. to install a clinker grinding mill (LM 56.3 + 3) along with all auxiliary equipment at their cement plant in Ragland, Alabama.

This project is part of the plant's modernization program to increase the finish grinding capacity from 1 million tph to 1.5 million tph. The awarding of this contract reflects the company's confidence in Loesche's state-of-the-art mill technology and engineering services. Loesche America, Inc. has been servicing the Ragland Plant since the mid 1970s when the Loesche raw mill LM 32.4 was installed.

This system will not only allow the plant to increase the existing clinker grinding capacity but also to improve the overall efficiency of the plant and to reduce the specific power consumption.

This solution is another example of National Cement Company‚s commitment to quality which is evident by the constant modernizations and acquisitions implemented since the company was purchased by Vicat in 1974.

Loesche America, Inc., of Pembroke Pines, Florida, is a subsidiary of Loesche GmbH, located in Düsseldorf, Germany. The company is an international market leader in vertical roller mills used for drying and grinding in the coal, cement, lime, minerals and utilities industries.
