Engineering Service and Software

to Simulate Vibrations in Drive Systems

In order to detect unexpected torsional and lateral vibrations in mechanical drive systems of rotating machinery, computer simulation is crucial to determine the dynamic behavior.

ARLA Maschinentechnik GmbH, Wipperfuerth, Germany offers new revised software packages ITI-SIM and ARMD to simulate both torsional and lateral vibrations also considering nonlinear characteristics (like high-elastic coupling elements, gear couplings, backlash in gear stages), steady-state and also time-transient conditions, any time or process dependent effects, influence of control, etc. a special software package for a comprehensive analysis of roller bearings is also available and integrated in the rotordynamic simulation system.

Furthermore ARLA's customer-dedicated engineering service comprises the a priori investigations during the R & D stage and does also support the troubleshooting when observing any problems at machines in operation which cannot be solved by usual rotordynamic models. There are special software packages and engineering services to solve problems of drivelines in large conveyor machinery.
