Re: Fine Coal Conveying
You can use dilute phase conveying but to prevent dust explosion hazards, design this system as a closed loop conveying system with an inert conveying gas and maintain oxygen below 17% by weight. Also, follow NFPA standards 68, 69 and 650 for the detailed design.

Re: Fine Coal Conveying
In addition to the aspect of pneumatically conveying the coal, be careful and informed on the storage and handling requirements before and after the conveying system as well. ■
Coal Conveying
Your note mentioned dilute-phase but made no mention of dense-phase. If you have a choice in the matter, i.e. you are not dealing with an existing system, dense-phase can be a very cost-effective solution, this material would likely be a good candidate.

Coal Conveying
An afterthought.
Whatever the conveying mode, a closed-loop system design is an ecomical way of maintaining an inert atmosphere (less than 10% oxygen) through the conveying system and in the receiving bins.

Fine coal conveying
I want to know , is there any serious problem and danger in use of pneumatic conveying (Dilute phase system) for transportaion of 0-80 micron bitumen coal.
