Garnet is a gem stone and chemically a complex silicate containing calcium, magnesium, aluminium and iron.
Fine powder which can not be used in jewellery is used as an abrasive in blast cleaning and in water jet machining of metals, marble and glass. It is also used in a limited way for ceramic glazing. ■

Can anyone tell us what possible uses there are for garnet powders? 325 & finer? ■
