The key unit is a continuous action planetary centrifugal mill (PCM).
The 1.5 tonnes/hour prototype PCM grinds super-hard materials to less than 5 micron (with 30% of the product at 1 micron) in open circuit and to much less than a micron in closed circuit, says Cyclotec, which is part of the Leotec Group.
Cyclotec has also developed new generation of long life hydro cyclones with efficiencies in the range 0.85 - 0.95, exceeding the state of the art hydro cyclones efficiency by 50 %.
Cyclotec sees major applications in milling low-grade and reject minerals, diamond concentration, mechanically chemical synthesis and in production of high performance binders and foam concrete for construction.
