Spray Technology for Refractory Linings, Wear Protection,

and Concrete Repairs

High economy and quality with short application times

In their position as specialized company for the installation of refractory and insulating types of concrete, ramming compound and bricks, Kalenborn have consistently advanced the use of spray technology. The result of such efforts is a well harmonized system of spray equipment, methods and lining materials.

The Kalenborn spray technology works well for refractory materials that contain ceramic fibers and just as well as for wear protecting materials and sprayable concrete. The result is a high quality product with a homogeneous structure. Its application requires little time.

Spraying can be done horizontally, vertically or even overhead. The linings can be made joint free and smooth by reworking. New systems can be lined as well as existing plants that need repair.

KALCRET-S wear resistant hard compound displays good abrasion resistance after a setting time of no more than eight hours and has performed well in actual practice.

Typical applications of the Kalenborn spray technology are found in the cement industry, the iron and steel industry, foundries and power plants, waste incineration in the chemical industry as well as in the production of furniture, wood and particle boards.

The Kalenborn spray technology allows not only lining new systems but also repair of existing components – shown here lining a cyclone dust catcher in a steel-making plant.
