Litronic-FMS – reliable moisture measurement from Liebherr
The new-generation version of the Liebherr Litronic FMS moisture measuring system ensures accurate and reliable determination of moisture in a variety of materials during the ongoing production process.
In numerous industrial sectors, determination of moisture in starting materials is a precondition to achieve optimum results.
Possible areas of applications include for example all kinds of bulk material, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, food or recycling.
Combined with Liebherr’s "intelligent" moisture sensor, the system forms the ideal measuring device to ensure accurate moisture-value determination, as well as monitoring production processes or even correcting them to ensure compliance with the mix data. The arithmetic mean for the entire metering period is determined by the integrated microprocessor. The moisture content in the medium is measured in-situ, that is to say in real time. The signal can be easily and directly connected to PCs, controls or process control systems.
The microprocessor installed in the sensor ensures reproducibility, in other words recalibration is not necessary if the sensor has to be exchanged. It automatically compensates for temperature fluctuations in the medium that could have a negative effect on the measured value. The sensor can also be used to determine the medium’s temperature. Fluctuating pH values in the medium do not falsify the measured value. An extremely wear-resistant ceramic oxide material is used to increase the sensor’s surface strength. The housing is made of stainless steel and can be therefore used without problems for every conceivable operating task.
An unusual feature: for special applications the FMS sensor is also available in an explosion-proofed version (gas and dust).
