We just ordered a special XRF spectrometer for our industrial laboratory, because we had to measure the presence of sulfur in oil. Now, this is a very common problem and a lot of poor quality oil products come to the market and we resell them because we are worried about the quality, because if anything, they will ask us. Of course, we have to check everything, we found special spectrometers from Elvatech and decided to supply them, because they are quite compact and convenient, because they are portable and at the same time they cost cheap yet. So far, there are no complaints, we have coped with the work. ■

Replacing the previous SPECTROMAX system, the new solution is faster, more precise, offers increased flexibility and requires less maintenance.
SPECTROMAXx analyses Nitrogen levels in steel down to a level of 20ppm. The solution features an Argon Saver Mode to reduce Argon costs by 40–60 per cent, dependent on sample throughput. ICAL, SPECTRO’s patented and proven intelligent calibration logic, is also fitted as standard to monitor system integrity and eliminate the need for recalibration samples. In addition, a unique readout system shaves valuable seconds off the analysis time – improving analysis precision – while SPECTROMAXx also features an expanded element selection and expanded calibration ranges.
