HI,

It is possible to convert. But however a lot of inputs on the existing system is required. A few of them are listed below:

Length of the mill

L/D ratio of the mill

No of Compartments

Openings in the partition & discharge diaphragm

Capacity of the raw mill/Cement mill

Connected motor power

Is close circuit existing or needs to be close circuited.

And with regard to the layout,

How you propose to feed the material to mill.

How you propose to collect the product and convey to the Cement Storage silo.

These are a few basic things that need to be initially looked into.

Hi,

We operate a converted cement finish mill as a raw mill. The center diaphragm screens were removed, and the separator (old Sturtevant) was fitted with a hot air furnace to dry the raw feed. No other major changes were made to the mill.
