The Vale do Rosrio sugar works add three new Vibrapen 1400 x 4000 mm screeners for the 2004 crop.

Vibrapen screeners are becoming a standard to most Brazilian sugar works. Known to be the world´s largests, the Brazilian sugar producers need versatile equipment and the Vibrapen screeners fit their needs.

Over 30 units have been delivered in recent times. They are normally used for the screening or re-screening of sugar crystals before shipping or refining procedures. Output may reach 60 tonnes per hour, depending on the mesh opening (between 2-5 mm) and the overall sugar humidity. All are AISI 304 stainless steel lined, where in contact with the sugar stream.

Glass-spheres blasting is the preferred finishing procedure but 220 mesh high gloss is possible too. The Vibrapen screeners are equipped with Vimot vibrators, also build by Mavi and special characteristics have been added to these drives in order to have at least 50.000 hours running time.

Heavy duty electric components have been chosen from WEG and all bearings are a special brand, with enlarged capacity and special clearances for vibratory equipment. IP-66 protection and insulation class F are standard.

Vibrapen screeners also come equipped with counter-balancing frames when needed in order to have almost all vibration transmission avoided. After set in place, these frames are concrete filled and their vast inertia is a determining factor for good isolation.
