Dear Mr. Henk,

I think you are referring to operational availability period of equipment / stockyard instead of availability from market. This clarity would help the plant people to respond to your query. This would again depend upon type of stockyard machines, quality of supply, quality of maintenance and quality of operation.

I believe ESKOM have tabulated the mean-time-between-failures (MTBF) and mean-time-to-repair (MTTR) for all components and systems in their coal handling including stacking, conveying, and reclaiming machines.

CDI worked for ESKOM for two years developing the 143km overland conveyor vs rail feasibility in 1995 with stockpile and transport likelyhood dynamics. Much of our information on conveyor and rail was tabulated for that study and the Monte Carlo simulation modeling. ESKOM also use G3 which requires similar information.

I thought TSI was still connected to ESKOM and this would be freely available to you.

WOW!

Why is everybody responding to a two year old web listing that has no relevance today. I acknowledge I was led into this discussion and did not look at the posting date.

What is your point in digging up ancient requests? I would label this a little unprofessional and not worthy of response.

I will not be so foolish in the future. Look at the posting date!
