We have some problems with red pigment and additives that when we are extruding they lost of mixing. We think that the problem became from the vibrator that is used to help the charge of the row matirial in the extruder.

Someone can help me ?

DEAR MR. ANDREA,

I SUPPOSE THAT THE SEGREGATION TAKE PLACE ALREADY IN YOUR SILO AND POSSIBLY INCREASED BY VIBRATION.

IN OUR PROGRAM WE HAVE PROPORTIONING EQUIPMENT BASED ON AN DISCHARGER “SILETTA”, WHICH COVER THE WHOLE SILO DIAMETER – THUS WITHOUT THE CONE. BECAUSE OF SIMULTANEOUSLY DISCHARGE FROM THE WHOLE CROSS SECTION OF THE SILO, THE EVENTUALLY SEGREGATED MATERIAL BY FILLING, WILL BE REMIXED BY DISCHARGE. WE CALL SUCH SILO “IDEAL FLOW “ SILO AND USE THIS CONCEPT FOR ALL OUR PROPORTIONING EQUIPMENT.

PLEASE SEND US MORE DETAILS ABOUT REQUIREMENTS AND WE WILL MAKE YOU A PROPOSAL.

PLEASE CONSULT OUR WEB SITE WWW.IPT-ONLINE.COM WHERE YOU CAN POSSIBLY MAKE A PRE-SELECTION.

WE HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON

BEST REGARDS

You may find some relevant guidelines in my book - 'User Guide to Segregation' that is published by the British Materials Handling Board. Alternatively, if you send details to the operation to lyn@ajax.co.uk, I will examine the situation in more detail.
