As I know, one company in Germany has some patents pertaining to pipe conveyor. There could be other company also in Germany having some patents.

The JPC (Japanese Pipe Conveyor) concept patent has long run out. Patents are still being filed on improved steering methods and idler roll supports.
Academics continue to study the internal stresses to increase accuracy in predicting the twist behavior between empty and loaded pipe sections, and the twist behavior in vertical and horizontal curves.
